Another Camera

Posted by: findsarah on: September 4, 2010

My parents have a digital camera with a laughable 1.5″ LCD on it so I gave them my camera which had a bigger screen. I wanted them to see the pictures better, specially in playback mode. Hekhek. So now, I’m out of a point-and-shooter, but really, I don’t care since I don’t take pictures as often as I used to. But there would still be those rare moments when I’m all “I wish I have a camera.” So for that, I set to find a cheap under $200 camera. I automatically had my heart set to get a Canon because I LOOOOVE their picture quality. Canon Canon Canon. But… I don’t know what happened; I started swaying towards the Panasonic FH20. Plus, I found a place I can get it for under $160. Cheap-o!

So yes, I did get the Lumix. I know Canon cameras would yield good looking pictures, but with photoshop tweaking, I think any camera with a decent lens would do. Ahekhekhek. Plus, it’s 8x zoom and 28mm wide lens! And based on reviews, it does very well on low-light setting. Can’t wait to see what a Lumix can do.

Pancakes

Just had pancakes for breakfast. I love this brand:

I add a little more water and olive oil to the mix to make it more fluffy.

It’s FRIDAY!

Jake took the day off so he can bring me to my eye doctor’s appointment. I wanted to get new eyeglasses because my current ones hurt the bridge of my nose. That plus I’ve been having blurry vision (usually at the end of the day). He’s so sweet. I mean, I can drive myself, but he said he’ll just work Saturday instead.

The exam says that my eyes aren’t that bad. The doctor said that on a scale of 1 to 10, I’m a 1, but that also meant I need to wear it as often as I can, especially when driving. That, I totally agree. I have to squint hard to see street signs, especially during the night. But what’s important is that my eyes are healthy and they’re not as bad as I thought. I ordered my eyeglasses and I should get them in a week. It’s an average black framed pair, but I got some special lenses put in, hopefully they will be lighter than my old one. I’d hate it if my nose hurts again.

So anyway, we felt hungry after my appointment so we headed out to California Pizza Kitchen. Hello, I got my staple starter: White Corn Guacamole and Chips, something like that, then we ordered our lunch:

Jake ordered Chicken Picatta

And I, Chicken Marsala. MmMM-Mushrooms!

After lunch, we went to Barnes and Noble for some fun book skimming and then went shopping. It was really a fun Friday!!

PS. I have to shop more at GAP!!

New Bedding

Posted by: findsarah on: August 28, 2010

I don’t have a camera. Except for that big fat Canon that needs batteries charged. No time for that. I can’t remember where I packed them anyway. So, I’m using Jake’s iPhone for the pictures. Crappy.

new bedding

Anyway, this is the new bedding that I ordered through eBay. We’ve been using it for a week and I LOVE IT! It’s a duvet cover set, which means it came with two shams. $47 y’all! The white pillowcases came from Target. I purchased their organic line because it was just so soft (they had samples up). I heard that they pill easy, but what do you expect from a store like that? I’ll just be careful when washing them.

The first post, of course.

Oh yay, I decided to start blogging again! On a free site. No more of owning a paid domain. At least for now.

So let me get you lovelies updated. I have finished my Web Design Associates Degree but not really working in that field. I’m still working at the dental office (Mon-Wed) and I’ve also been part-timing at the ol’ A as a graphic designer, which is cool because it means I get to stay home from Thu-Sun doing work whenever I please. YAHEEY!

Oh, and I moved in with my boyfriend. I’m actually shocked that my parents didn’t say a thing; they were very okay with it. Remember, I’m Filipino so that means conservative parents. HEKHEKHEK! So that’s very cool.

Now, I gotta say, my main reason for starting this blog is to write about how our moving process is going. We definitely need a few more stuff for the apartment so I’m definitely blogging about the pieces we’ll bring in. This won’t be like Apartment Therapy though, I don’t have the time to actually go find eclectic pieces and do some DIYs, though I’d love to.

Aside from apartment stuff, I know there will be posts about my random shopping and probably cooking (what??). For shopping, I would love to do a “clearance find” kind of thing. Fun! All in all, this will be a random blog like every normal person out there has.
